I then check all the wiring to the computer along with grounds and those were good .01 ohms on every wire including grounds. Then I checked the timing chain and the timing was off by two teeth and got it back in perfect time and that did not work. I did check the cam and crank signals with a scope individually and the signals looked great. If I was able to check the signals over top of each other I would of found the problem earlier. I pulled the crank sensor back out and put my timing marks back in line to see if the target wheel was lined up and it was not. The target wheel is 60 degrees off of my timing and my timing is right on and I know the #1 cylinder is closest to the water pump or the passenger side. I have used a bore scope to see if there was any damage to the target wheel and I can only see the teeth of the target wheel, I want to see how it is fastened to the crank. And yes the #1 is TDC.

Hi, the extremely common mistake here is to replace a cam / crank sensor when getting a P0340. This code occurs because of the no start, not representative of the cause of the no start. "The timing was off by two teeth" -- ?! That's kind of a bad sign. If it's indeed true, you may have a serious internal engine problem. Check compression next. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
