Turns over good, it tries to fire but will not start? Jumped the fuel pump relay with jumper wire fuel pump runs. But no start?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The fuel pump providing fuel pressure is merely one part of what is needed to run the engine. Even if you provide direct power to the pump, it still might not work properly. But, also - it could be that fuel delivery is not the problem at all. Ignition spark, fuel delivery, proper air via the intake manifold - all essential to vehicle starting. Hands on testing is needed to determine what is missing that is needed to start the vehicle. Also, any anti-theft intervention can influence this - best to ensure a proper programmed key is present to start the vehicle as well.
