My car's FM (haven't tried AM) stereo keeps turning off. How do I fix it?

What is your question?

It only shuts off for about a second and then comes back on. It does not only do it while I'm driving. While I was parked for about 5 minutes, it continued to shut off and back on. Does anyone have suggestions on what to do or who to bring it to?

If the radio it self goes out, the whole screen goes blank, and it does not loose its memory, then it will most likely be internal of the radio. If the sound just cuts out and the radio stays on then it might be the amplifier. We always suggest having it diagnosed by someone with the equipment and knowledge because in the long run it's less expensive then guessing, especially on electronic parts.

Okay thank you. It's just the stereo component. The dash that has the time, temp, etc, stays on, but the "ST" display goes away then comes back. I will bring it to a repair shop to have it checked out.
