Hello, reading the workshop manual for the wiper system on this vehicle shows that more influences system operation besides the motor and switch. The wiper switch communicates information with the Steering Control Module (SCM). This communicates with the Electromechanical Instrument Cluster (EMIC) which integrates with the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). Yes, they've managed to apparently over-engineer the wiper system! Basically, you'll need to have proper diagnostic equipment that can communicate with these body control modules to determine what is happening and where the concern is originating from.
