My wife went off the side of the road the other day now the abs light and traction light is on what do you think is the problem

Something has likely damaged an anti-lock wheel sensor, or possibly the sensor ring, hub, axle, or knuckle of the steering and suspension. The vehicle should be checked as soon as possible, as safety and proper operation of the vehicle are compromised.
