I've been told my backup light issue is due to the switch, which is on the transmission. Apparently, the part is cheap, but the labor is not. Wondering just how much this should cost me and how much labor's really involved.

just use the estimate tab on this website
On the manual transmission it only takes 20 minutes to replace the switch. Switch is on the side of the gearbox, two wires at switch, violet/white and violet/black.
Thanks, but I can't find this particular service option in the list. The estimate seems low considering what my mechanic said. And he's not one to charge extra for things I don't need. I've got history of quite the opposite with him, actually. Are you sure about the twenty minutes?
