Multifunction switch has a 2 wire connector function
What is your question?
The 2 wire connector plugs in to the back on the switch. My question is what is the function and where do the wires terminating at the connector emanate from? The wires are cut about 3 inches from the connector on my switch.
My Jeep is a 2003 TJ, 4.0 with factory fog lights.

What makes this problem better or worse?
dash lights don't dim and dome light won't operate from the multifunction switch. Works fine when the doors are open.
