What is your question?
Looking for some electrical advice on my 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I have tail lights and the right turn signal works, but I have no brake lights. The left turn signal blinks twice and then stops, and when it's doing that, the clock on my radio and the odometer blink in sync with it. I already replaced the brake light switch, and the brake lights worked briefly afterward. Then I cleaned the ground by the rear tail light, and now I don't have brake lights at all. It definitely seems like an electrical issue, but I'm not sure where to go from here. Has anyone dealt with something similar or have any ideas on what I should check next?

Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your Jeep. Based on the information provided with how your lights are acting up this does sound like an electrical concern and does sound related to a poor ground to one or more of the electronics. A poor ground connection or ground supply will cause other electronics to act up or flash kind of like what you are seeing now. Locating a poor ground connection in some cases can be difficult to do. I recommend having your battery ground cable and connections checked, any under hood ground wiring and connections checked and the wiring leading back to the brake lights for any corrosion, damage, or loose connections. If you have any aftermarket parts wired in you might try removing those connections temporarily to see if that resolves this concern as well. If you are unable to identify the cause yourself in some cases it may be best to allow a certified repair facility to look into a concern like this to see if they are able to pinpoint and resolve the problem. I wish I had some better news to give you on this. If you’d like to find a trusted, certified repair shop in your area, you can check here: https://repairpal.com/certified.
