many shop do air bag diags and are cheaper than dealers. shop around for a shop that deals with air bags.

Check the switch in the console that turns on the passenger side airbag. If it's not lit in either the on or off position, it's probably that switch. I've replaced it twice in 163,000 miles. They're about $65 at the dealer.
