cost, parts and labor, to replace an oil pump, if the motor has to be dropped

Generally, the motor can stay mounted because the oil pan will just come down after removing the skid plate and disconnecting some steering gear. It is about a 2 hour job. and most factory quality pumps are about $150 ( JC Witney etc ) plus there will be a pan gasket and new oil and filter. so figure about 250 for parts. I have done a few and it isn't too bad of a job, but you need a rack or it will take MUCH longer.
