Problem occurs after rain or car wash . ok for one day then symptoms for two days. After that it is ok again.
What makes this problem better or worse?

If you are getting the engine compartment wet for some reason (I never recommended "cleaning" the engine with water sprayed on it!), it's possible the ignition coils and related components could get contaminated by water and cause misfiring and all kinds of concerns.
