the symbol of an engine comes on just over the heat gauge,is this cylinder head coolant port hard to get to,do I tackle this and the two thermostatsas well? I haven't even had the car 24 hours and already I have to look into some repair, please help

take it right back to your dealer!!! sounds like their could be a crack in the block or check your fluids have you put any in lately?, it's a couple years old now and if you got the deal of a lifetime then you may have been hoodwinked into a vehicle with a cracked cylinder head which could throw a rod, which means complete loss of the engine. now the wise thing to do would be to go to a certified shop and have it put on a diagnostic's machine which will test the vehicle at different intervals and is usually not that expensive and will also tell you exactly what's wrong with your vehicle ! do it quick, cause the more you drive it the worser it gets and the more your gonna end up paying for it in the end. also next vehicle purchase look up the make and model for recalls and problems b4 purchase which is free online. good luck.
