On my 2008 Jeep Patriot a grinding sound coming from the left front of it sometimes when I'm driving I have no power and the transmission light turns on when it cools down and it runs like normal again yet it was a winding and it turns into a grinding now it's a banging sound coming from the left side of the front of the vehicle
What makes this problem better or worse?
it's worse when the engine is hot
How long has your 2008 Jeep Patriot had this problem?
I just started to notice it within 2 weeks ago

If you don't normally work on cars I suggest taking it to a shop. This could be a safety concern. If the oil dipstick tube is stuck in sometimes you can spray a little penetrating oil around the top where it goes into the tube. You're vehicle's automatic transmission comes as a sealed unit.
