How much should a valve job cost to repair a misfiring cylinder?

This appears to be a common problem with Jeeps, but someone else fixed their problem by replacing their O2 sensors. The misfiring has not been noticeable, but the 'check engine' light keeps coming on, along with sometimes blinking and the owners manual said that blinking is due to a possibility of the catalytic converter overheating.
