Why does the tail light bulb keep blowing a hole in it. There is also no moisture on the inside of the lens.

Yep, I had same problem as well and it is very annoying! There is a THICK clear plastic lens on the inside of the tail/brake light assembly. It had came loose on the driver's side and was resting on the bulb causing the plastic to melt onto the bulb & blow sometimes it would break the bulb as well. I went through several bulbs (the more expensive bulbs lasted longer if you don't have time to fool with it right now)I say that because it took me several hours to breakup & remove this lens inside. I found the best thing to use are medical scissors (the kind that can cut a penny in two) because I cracked the red lens trying to use a screwdriver, then a pair of pliers. Its very annoying cause the hole you are trying to work inside of is pretty small but it can be done :)
Them damn trolls playing with BB gun again. I would have guessed water getting on it.
I had this problem as well. Inside the rear light assembly are plastic walls that surround the bulb. Apparently it was not glued in place properly so whenever we would hit a bump or go four-wheeling one of the walls would fall onto the bulb causing the bulb to burnout or break. I had to reach in and grab the plastic walls with needle-nose pliers to twist and break those free moving plastic pieces out. It was tough to do and you have to be careful, but once those walls/pieces were removed the bulbs no longer were a problem.
This is exactly what i was thinking my problem is,because i too have a clear piece of plastic loose inside the lens compartment ! In fact, there is a huge melt spot on it ! I was thinking that when it gets hot and rests against the buld,it causes it to blow ! However ! This morning, i started my jeep, the light turned on,then 30 seconds later blew out ! And it was very cold ! Do you think this still could be my pronlem ? Ive blown 5 bulbs in a week ! When the first one blew it kinda melted the bulb socket !
