back window latch will not close

Hello, is the latch and striker aligned properly? You'd have to check for power and ground and maybe disconnect the power to the latch to see if it releases, in the event power is staying on keeping the latch open for some reason. Totally a guess, but probably what I would do to start with. A shop manual and wiring diagram is helpful to learn how that particular latch operates and when it's set to open and closed.
