Recently my jeep has started bogging down and not wanting to get up to speed. It sputters and the gas pedal is non responsive and the rpms will shoot up.

Sputters. Gas pedal non resposive and rpms seem to go up and down . the engine light will keep flashing.

What makes this problem better or worse?
