I've replaced the thermostat, radiator and flushed the coolant. Mechanic thinks he needs to reprogram the actuator. He remembers turning the temp knob back and forth while turning ignition key> Anyone know?
It could be that your heater blend door is not directing the air over the heater core so it can be heated as it is pushed in to the passenger compartment. So,have a shop check the operation of the blend door, this can be done with a scan tool, but not a parts store type.
I have repaired this on Jeeps as well.
I found a site that described reprogramming the actuator (?) It involved turning the ignition key on and having the heat knob in the 12 o'clock position, then turning ignition off and turning to right then repeating this several times going back and forth turning knob from right to left (cold to hot). Do you know anything about this. I;ve spent so much cash just to get heat.
