engine problem

What is your question?

I was told my the dealer i need a new engine My oil light came on (I had oil In The jeep) and the a loud noise came from under the jeep......sound like my muffler was missing but it was not and the muffler is fine Should I replace my engine at $9000.00 or could something else be the problem my Car will be paid in full on 3mos I really do not want to buy another one right now Any suggestions appreciated Angel
