What is your question?
Sometimes when I drive my Jeep and I have my heat on and both the passenger side and driver side is set to 78 degrees, the driver side will start blowing cool air while the passenger side is blowing out hot air. I took it to the dealership but the problem never happens for them but they checked some forums and they said to replace the door actuator, which they did on my jeep, but I am still having the issue. It is never consistent and it happens sporadically. Can anyone help me with this issue????
How long has your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee had this problem?

We can make suggestions but I wouldn't recommend you try to repair the car on your own. It's under warranty and the dealership is your best route to get to the bottom of this. I know it's not convenient but you need to bring it back and have them test it again. A blend door actuator is where I would look too but its such a new car it's hard to believe that failed. I would think something like software in the control unit for the heating and ac could be at fault. Alex
Yes after about 10 to 15 mins.
Turn temperature control up to 80° and try it - there are zone sensors that may detect ‘drivers side’ is warm enough and adjust temperature accordingly. IF the issue persists - Other than consulting the owners manual for ALL applicable information - the dealer will have to take care of this for you. Good luck with it!
Thank you for this info however, I did put the heat on my side up to 80 before and it gets hot. So there are sensors that tell when it gets to a certain temp and it will get cool? But why doesn't that work on the passenger side? The passenger side stays hot.
The only thing I can think of is ‘body heat’ .. Without *hands-on* evaluation - it’s difficult to be sure of the actual issue. As long as the driver remains comfortable - I don’t think it is a real problem. https://www.quora.com/How-does-an-automatic-climate-control-system-work-in-a-car
I appreciate all your info... I understand what you are saying but I am paying a lot of my hardworking money for this car so I want it to work correctly.... but I thank u for all ur info!
I have the same problem in my 2017 Cherokee. It is at the dealer now they have been trying to figure it out they have also tried changing the actuator once and trying it again today, I assume it didn’t work because I didn’t hear from them. Did you ever get it fixed? If so what did they have to do?
