When ever I press the remote start it read on the dashboard hood open.

You may know the hood is closed but the remote start module thinks it's open! .. Most likely scenario is there is a hood - open/closed - sensor or switch that's not working and just needs adjusting .. Vehicle presence is required for visual inspection... Look around under hood, you may see it.... If the necessary 'repair' is not conspicuous, seek hands-on help from qualified personnel.
