Alarm/keyless not working

I don't think its an issue with the key fobs. I tried my 2nd key that I have never used and it still won't work. Also according to the manual the alarm should also alarm by pressing the lock button on the door. The alarm light will flash once then nothing I then can open the jeep with the key and the alarm doesent go off as it would in the past. Also the issue with the home link and compass not working when the alarm does not work...

I dont think the remote key is defective. I have the same problem. I can lock my car, but sometimes i can't open it with remote. The interesting thing ir that when the remote is not working at the same time the cars compass is also restting. And when you start the car, afer some 5 minutes compass starts to work. I still havent found a parmanent fix.
