2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Wat would cause the car to die suddenly and not restart?
Wat would cause the car to die suddenly and not restart?
What is your question?
I was pulling out of drive when jeep suddenly died, no noise, no hesitation, just died. Now it won't restart, but it has fuel and gets spark. It cranks but won't start, it acts like it is either getting no spark or no fuel.

what engine , how many miles on it? "has fuel and gets spark"---...---"acts like it is either getting no spark or no fuel"??..... What has been verified?
It is the 4.7 v8, and it had been verified to have fuel to the rail and spark to the plug. Checked fuses as well nothing blown. Very strange as the motor barely has 8,000 miles on the rebuild.
Fuel "to the rail" -next question on that would be , what is the pressure and does it have injector pulse? --"spark at the plug" -at correct time? Valve timing verified? (kinda assumed that before , sorry.

Thanks for your reply, we figured it out. It was the cam shaft position sensor.
