What is your question?
I lost my keys and in desperation I used some key like implements to try and start the car. Those didn't work and now i found my keys but seems to have gotten something stuck in the key hole. I think I will need to replace the ignition cylinder but until then I need to drive to work. Can I remove the cylinder without being able to insert the key?
What makes this problem better or worse?
I have really gone at it trying to remove the piece stuck inside and trying to remove the cylinder
How long has your 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee had this problem?
I have

usually you have to be able to turn the key to remove the cylinder. You may have to drill it out which is not a fun job. If that's the case you'll also need an ignition switch along with the lock cylinder.
