My jeep bogs out and dies about 5 seconds after starting it

What is your question?

I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee i ran codes on it and it codes for the egr valve could the egr valve cause it to bog out and die? And I've been told by two auto parts stores a 2000 doesn't have an egr valve.. I'm completely confused?
