How can I get my jeep out of hydrolock?

Grandpa drove it hot and the engine locked up. Someone told me they have a hydrolock safety that shuts it down before the engine gets damages. How do I know if it's hydrolocked and how do I unlock it if it is???

Whomever told you about this so called safety feature was mistaken unfortunately. More likely engine seizure is due to internal damage. Good luck with it!
