why does my jeep have trouble starting overtime

What is your question?

it starts most of the time but at times I have to put it into neutral than back to park to get it to start

What makes this problem better or worse?

turning the key and put it in to gear and back into gear than it starts

How long has your 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee had this problem?

on and off for about a month
