While turning the wheel on a jeep compass latitude 2018 I can hear a thudding noise coming from the steering wheel and it’s not power steering fluid as it has some already. Anytime I try to make a hard left or right the noise appears and then when I straight out the steering wheel it makes the noise until it’s straighten out
What makes this problem better or worse?
It’s better when driving straight and slight left/right turns
How long has your 2018 Jeep Compass had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. It could be a normal experience if you are turning the wheel all the way to the lock on each side. Other than that, hands on evaluation by a tech near you will be able to inspect the steering and suspension to determine whatever is going on. Something could be dragging on another components?
