Fast clicking noise in dash board when turning on heat/air

Every time I turn on the heat/air, there is a very fast clicking noise comes out of the dashboard near the glove compartment. It clicks about 20 times, then stops. And lately I have even heard this noise when the car has not been used in over 24 hours, you can hear it in the driveway just clicking away with nobody in it. Car starts/runs fine, no problems with the heat or air at all.
