wet drivers side floor

I have the same problem. I is definitely a clog in the sunroof drain that runs above your front windshield. The water can be heard swishing back and forth after hard rain. It comes out in slight drips when you push on the hand grip (at eye level) to left of you as you sitting in drivers seat. I have had this unclogged twice and now 1 year later it is happening again after rain this week in NJ. The result is what you describe - - water only in the driver side of the floor.

Has it been raining? Have you been running the A/C? My guess is the A/C evaporator drain, so make sure that is clear and draining properly.

If you have a sunroof, it is more than likely the drain on the drivers side. It could be the cowling drain is clogged below the windshield. Both have separate drivers and passenger drains that can easily be clogged with leaves and dirt. Both situations have happened to my 06 Commander. You can find the hose to the sun roof under the carpet and behind the kick panel. If it is clogged or disconnected, water will pool in the floor board.

I have the same problem with my car,Mitsubihsi 2004,nothing in wet but the driver side under the matt,can not find a leak ,its not the windshield,its not the window seal,there is no sign of water leak,or wet spot to save my life .I would love to fix it,but I can not find water anywhere but the floor,it makes it hard to repair,if you cant find the water leak!
