twice now when I was driving my 2006 commander going down the road the tranny acts like its in neutral while driving 35 to 50 mph the gear selector remains in drive position I cost to a stop then shift through all the gears then back to drive and then it goes back into gear and seems fine and it hesitates when taking off.

Mine too!! 2006 3.7L V6..... Check for tranny fluid dipstick and check fluid. Mine didn't even have the stick or cap at all. PLEASE PLEASE let me know if you find out WTF is the root of this. I've been told electrical....tranny slipping......tranny going out......needs tranny fluid.....sensors out or overheating
