i was charged for $730 for them to fix it. Now it blows hot air after 10 minutes of cold. & sometimes vehicle will not start.
What makes this problem better or worse?
I was told because my new battery wasn't installed right. it caused some damage?

Hello, i would defintiely ask for further explanation from the service manager of the shop you utilized. It's impossible to know from here what happened and what was actually performed. It also sounds like the shop needs to address the poor restart and air conditioning concern. A computer recalibration seems like a software update for one of the many modules in the vehicle. From your information, I cannot determine which module was recalibrated. The air conditioning concern could be caused by multiple comopnent issues. The heater elbow sounds like a small heater hose that carries coolant was repaired. Was an air pocket introduced into the system, causing a loss of air condintionig perhaps?
