how come i cant find what parts i need to replace my rear end on jeep

I know what the problem is, I need a rear end replacement. my mechanic found a used one and it was messed up. I need to get this resolved. I want to know what parts go into a rear and replacement and where I can find a used one. I cant wait any longer
