The yellow engine light is on. Normally each time I get the oil changed I have the service man reset it. After about 15 or 20thousand miles it comes on again. He told me not to worry since it is a recall problem, probably with the 3rd cylinder recall. However I would like to reset it myself, how do I do it? P.S. The recall has been taken care of on my vehicle.

If the Check Engine light is on the car needs a computer diagnostic to see the cause. It could be on for about a thousand different reasons. You need to take it to a shop and ask them for a diagnostic. It might be a small emission related problem, but could also be a big one which could cost you lots of money unless it's repaired soon. Zee
