There are way too many possibilities that could cause this problem and so difficult just to guess without being able to drive your car and experience the problem first hand and or do some basic diagnostic tests. Your car has On Board Diagnostics Level 2 (OBD2) many scan tools are capable of reading live data from the many sensors on your engine and transmission by simply plugging in a scan tool (hand held computer) to a diagnostic port under the dash board of your car, this scan tool reads an amazing amount of information which is live sensor data without having to intrusively test each sensor individually (convenient and time saving) The tool is only as good as the person interpreting the data and not every scan tool has the full capability to work on every particular manufacturer of car. I did have a Jeep in a few weeks ago similar problem had a bad computer but basic tests need to be done first.
