I put in new 4.0 in Cherokee 93, after puzzling ordeal figuring out timing it final started I held throttle open to keep at 2000 rpm after bout a min or 2 started smoking I let off throttle and it stalled. exhaust seem like it got hot quick didn't see if it got glowing think I stalled it out before it got that hot engine didn't even get warm yet. not sure what issues I should start with to diagnose. since its pcm controled can't really adjust timing so much. not sure if its injectors bad or vacuum issue. thanks for any help and advise. this jeep has been kicking my ass.
