Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your XKR. If your key fobs can open the boot but not lock or unlock the doors, the issue might be with the door lock actuators, a receiver problem, or even low fob battery power. First, ensure the key fob batteries are fresh. If the problem persists, try re-synchronizing the fobs by following the procedure in your car's repair manual. If the doors still don't respond, the door lock actuators might be faulty, or the central locking system might need a diagnosis. You could also have a receiver issue, particularly if both fobs are affected. Scanning the vehicle with a diagnostic tool that can check for communication issues with the security system may provide more clarity. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
