WHY WONT THE OLD CODES ERASE (MASS AIR METER) AFTER THE NEW PART IS INSTALLED?

If you are trying to clear the codes with a scanner and they won't clear, it usually means the fault is still present. Could be a faulty "new" Air Meter or there could be something else wrong (failing fuel pump, vacuum leak, etc...)
