Headliners in today's cars are made from a formed foam core, covered with material that has a foam backing attached. The headliner material begins to fall when the foam breaks down and seperates from the material. You may be able to fix temp. by using a spray glue on the foam, like 3m - 77 it will hold for awhile. however when the foam starts this process it will continue in different spots. The best way to repair is to take the trim off around the headliner and remove the headliner. Then remove the old fabric, and clean off the old foam by rubbing with anything that won't did into the formed backing. buy new headliner material it comes 60" wide by the length you need to cover. It is sold by the running yard. Headliner glue can be purchased at the trim shop with the material. Spray both the formed board and the fabric lay it out and smooth with your hand trim edges and holes for lights etc. and reinstall headliner and trim. With a little mechanical ability, basic tools and a couple hours you can do this job fairly easy. But most trim shops around here will do the whole job for you from $70.00 to $150.00 parts, labor and taxes.
