Early xj8 timing chain tensioners were made of plastic which broke causing the timing chain to skip a tooth or two and trash the engines. Since the xjr was more powerful, did they use metal timing chain tensioners or were the plastic ones used on the xjr as well.
What makes this problem better or worse?
