I have a 2004 Jaguar XJ8. My climate control keeps turning on and off at random.
What is your question?
The climate control turns off while the car is running and the AC is on. As if I how to turn off the ignition or turn off the switch for the climate control. When it turns on it works properly but then within a few moments it turns back off. And then Cycles on and off at random
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 2005 Jaguar XJ8. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
If the climate control instrumentation just turns off, then there must be some kind of malfunction within the control mechanism or related components. Have this system tested.
Thank you so much for the reply I'm really stumped by what's happening. I replaced the climate control unit with two other units I obtain. And the problem continue. I'm not sure but I think the power is turning on and off I've checked off relays all fuses. It seems like it might be a bad power connection to the module itself. I'm thinking about Reef Lighting in a new plug for it my last resort is taking it to the dealer which I dread if I have to go when it's on it works perfect it just turns off and Cycles on and off. Thank you so much for your input
An intermittent open wire will absolutely cause this issue also. Trace you wiring to your connector at the unit and also obtain a wiring diagram to aid in testing.
Thank you so much for the comment. I'm still trying to determine what may be wrong I think I'll have to give up and take it in to get looked at but thank you so much
