Suddenly a new whirring sound is coming from inside the engine. What could it be?
I sprayed WD40 on the fan belt to make sure it wasn't the fan belt tensioner assembly or idler pulley. I just had the oil changed and also recently put new plugs in. It has over 150,000 and when I get the money, I'll soon be doing the secondary tensioners, primaries, chains and guides, since those old plastic tensioners inside the engine often go bad.
What could this new whirring hum be? It goes up and down as you accelerate.
