Just answered a similar question. The XK8 transmission give problems,in my view Jaguar should have called for more frequent transmission oil changes. Have the transmission scanned for trouble codes. Not every scantool works well with Jaguars. See if there is an independent Jaguar repair shop with a good reputation in your area.
