What is your question?
I have a 2005 Jag X-type 3.0 with an automatic transmission, it has 75,000 miles. It has developed a minor but annoying transmission shifting problem similar to a minor washboard effect on up shift and a downshift that is slow and has a delayed speed reduction. This downshift problem happens mostly at highway speed. There are no lights or codes showing and the Jag dealer reset the transmission computer controls to original factory setting. This helped some. The problem seems to get worse at temperatures above 90 degrees. Any ideas or suggestions?

Had the same issue with our 2002 X Type 3.0 automatic, dealer dinked around but never resolved the issue. 2 weeks after the warranty was up dealer said I needed a new transmission $10,000. My aftermarket extended warranty would not pay dealer price, I was lucky and found a transmission guy who replaced it for the warranty amount. FYI the transmission fluid is $50 a quart and it holds 9 1/2 quarts. Good luck and document every time you see the dealer and do not get a resolution!
