What is your question?
I've a 2003 Jaguar X-Type 3.0. About a month ago I started having problems starting the car. I've replaced the starter and battery and still vehicle will not start. Now if I place a metal extension next to the connections of the starter the vehicle will start. Anyone out there with any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I had the same issue on my 2003 Jaguar X-Type 2.5. I tried to charge the battery, but the vehicle did not start. I purchase a new battery and the vehicle still did not start. I had the vehicle towed to a shop and I was told the fuel pump needed to be replace. The shop replaced the fuel pump along with the fuel fiter and the vehicle ran like a champ again.
You need to use a meter or testlight and diagnose the problem before you replace parts. I think there's a problem in the ignition switch or the starter relay, assuming there's no problem with theft-deterrent. If you test the system you can find out where the failure is.
