The interior courtesy lights stopped working after a visit to the repair shop for new seals around some engine parts. In addition the garage door opener on the visor stopped working and the battery went dead after 5 days without use.
How long has your 2000 Jaguar S-Type had this problem?

Hello, The fuse for this is located inside the luggage compartment. It is fuse F5, a 10 amp mini red fuse. Certainly check here first, but it's possible that there is some other concern going on. Care should be taken to inspect the area around where the vehicle was worked on to see if anything might be out of place, pinched, or damaged in any way. Usually there are no coincidences!
Replaced the fuse and the lights work fine now. Our driver's handbook must not be the right one because it says the courtesy light fuse is in the passenger compartment fuse box number 31. We looked and there isn't even a fuse in that spot. That is one reason we were confused. Thank you so much for your help. You probably saved us some money!!
