What is your question?
After driving and using the A/C, and the engine is turned off and key removed, there's a small motor sound that continues to run for minutes. I can also hear it while engine is running. Only started doing it last month. Original owner of Jaguar S-type 2000 V-8, 135K miles. One repair guy told me it's normal. It never ran for minutes in the past. Yesterday after parking and turning off the ignition, the small motor sound didn't stop for almost 10 minutes. No other Jaguar service people nearby. A/C works, but there are issues with heater, so we don't use it. No other noise and no indications of any leaks. Any suggestions on what the small motor-sound could be? Thanks for any help with this.
What makes this problem better or worse?
No sound when the A/C wasn't used during driving when engine is shut off.
How long has your 2000 Jaguar S-Type had this problem?
About a month

Hello, a cooling fan motor can run for a period of time after shutting off the engine. That's the only active motor I can think of. If you continue to feel this is a concern, it would be best to show the noise to a local technician -- Jaguar or not -- to see where the noise is originating from.
