What is your question?
My tensioner pulley seized. The battery light came on and the power steering went out. I popped the hood and noticed the serpentine belt popped. Also the idler pulley was loose. I had 2 different people look at it who told me that I would need to replace the tensioner pulley along with the idler pulley. I called to get a quote from autozone and they told me I would need to replace the entire belt tensioner. How do I know whether or not I need to replace the entire assembly or if I'm just being stiffed?

Well, you can buy just the pulley & the belt for 50 bucks + tax. install both & look to see if it is crooked or wobbling. Then hope for the best & run it. Then in a week or so find the the belt ripped from riding on its edge from a crooked tensioner. Then Bring back the first pulley(if they take it) Then spend 50 bucks on the tensioner & another 25 on a belt. at a total of 100 bucks plus tax a 2 installation jobs , or do it right the first time & save 25 bucks with a cost of 75.00 e a week ruin another belt because the idler was indeed bad, or
