What is your question?
Today I went to ge a smog check and for the first time it did not pass. The failed parameter is NO (PPM) at 15 mph of ASM Emission Test; the MAX is 356 and the measured is 555. Any idea/suggestions? I'm about to take it to a mechanic but would love to have some opinions first. Thank you in advance for your help.

High NOx can be oxygen sensors, old cats, maybe they didn't get them hot enough to be efficient. When was the last time the vehicle was tuned up?
You might also check the egr vacuum hoses and look in the plug holes with a borescope for carbon deposits. If you see a lot of crud on top of the pistons you can clean it with water injection.
As far as I remember was about 3 years ago.
Pull a spark plug and see what it looks like. New plugs and upstream oxygen sensors may be all you need.
I'll check the plugs but I don't even know what the upstream oxygen sensor is, but I'll look around on the Internet. Thanks by the way.
Single exhaust has two oxygen sensors. One before the catalytic converter and then another behind. Like a river, upstream and downstream.
