old battery clicked; new, nothing except lights on.

NO! when you disconnect any battery,you take the negative battery cable off the battery FIRST and the positive cable LAST! when you hook the cables back up,whether it's new or the same battery,you hook the positive cable up FIRST and the negative battery cable LAST! if you saw sparks,then the only thing that comes to mind is that you hooked the negative cable to the positive terminal on the battery and the positive cable to the negative terminal on the battery! test ALL fuses in that vehicle with a test light.get hands on help if needed...red cable to the plus symbol and black cable to the minus symbol on the battery.turn the battery around like the old one was,if it's sitting in there backwards!
